MITSUI CRANES DELIVERED TO LAEM CHABANGProject SummaryArgonautics Marine Engineering, Inc. was involved in the delivery of 2 new container cranes to the port of Laem Chabang in Thailand in July 2004. The cranes were built by Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding at their new yard in Oita, Japan. Both cranes were loaded onto the heavy-lift ship DOCK EXPRESS 10, using the forklift method. Upon securing of the cranes and the associated loose cargo, the ship departed with destination Thailand, where it arrived 9 days later.After arrival at the LCIT terminal in Laem Chabang, preparations for offloading commenced immediately, and only 3 days later, both cranes were safely offloaded and in process of being commissioned. ■ | Coordinate loading and offloading operations as per the Dockwise Procedures; |
■ | Liaison with ship crew, terminal, client and its subcontractors; |
■ | Inspect cranes and seafastenings before departure and after arrival; |
■ | Provision of on-site assistance during skidding on off the cranes in Oita; |
■ | Provision of on-site assistance during the skidding off of the cranes in Laem Chabang. |
