OFFLOADING MSRS AT ST LUCIE POWER PLANT

Project Summary

In August 2011, Argonautics Marine Engineering, Inc. provided on-site assistance during the offload of 4 Moisture Separator Reheaters (MSRs) delivered by cargo barge to the St Lucie Power Plant in St. Lucie, FL. Earlier in the year, detailed ballast procedures were prepared for the live rolling-off of each of the 4 MSR, using 10 axle Kamag trailers. Only days before the offload, a different barge was used for the MSR transport, requiring a quick re-do of these ballast procedures.

During the offload operations, on-site support was provided to the offload contractor. Thunderstorms delayed the preparations, but once offloading started, all 4 MSRs were safely offloaded and parked in an adjacent parking lot in a single day.
